Other features: The Hyunmoo-V is a powerful South Korean ballistic missile featuring a maximum range ranging from 3,000 to 3,500 kilometers with a heavy payload, which can extend up to 5,000 kilometers with a reduced payload. It is equipped with one of the world’s most powerful non-nuclear warheads, boasting a heavy bunker-buster payload weighing between 8 and 9 tons designed to kinetically destroy underground facilities through sheer mass and velocity. Powered by a two-stage solid-propellant rocket motor with a first-stage thrust of approximately 75 tons, the missile is specifically designed to destroy deeply buried fortifications, command centers, and WMD storage facilities under South Korea’s Korea Massive Punishment and Retaliation (KMPR) strategy. It utilizes an advanced maneuverable reentry vehicle (MaRV) with a combined guidance system for pinpoint terminal accuracy and is launched via a cold-launch system from heavy wheeled transporter-erector-launcher (TEL) vehicles.
