Other features: The Bayraktar Kızılelma is powered by turbofan engines, specifically the Ukrainian AI-25TLT and AI-322F series manufactured by Ivchenko-Progress and Motor Sich. Featuring a low radar cross-section (Low RCS) airframe design, the platform incorporates internal weapon bays for partial ordnance concealment. Kızılelma is optimized for short-takeoff and landing (STOL) operations from amphibious assault ships—such as the TCG Anadolu—featuring ski-jump ramps without requiring catapult systems. It is capable of carrying a payload comprising cruise missiles, precision-guided munitions (PGMs), and air-to-air missiles. Boasting a high degree of autonomy with automated takeoff, landing, and taxiing capabilities, the aircraft is equipped with an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar and is designed to operate in a ‘loyal wingman’ manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) concept.
