Other features: The AGR-20F Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II (APKWS II) utilizes an innovative mid-body guidance design where the laser-guidance kit is integrated between the rocket motor and warhead, allowing four wings with tiny optical sensors to deploy immediately after launch while retaining standard Hydra 70 components. Featuring Distributed Aperture Semi-Active Laser Seeker (DASALS) technology with optical sensors embedded on the wing edges, the system delivers a wide 40-degree field of view to maintain laser lock during sharp maneuvers. It achieves exceptional precision with a circular error probable (CEP) of less than 0.5 meters, minimizing collateral damage in urban and counterinsurgency engagements. Compatible with over 20 platform types ranging from attack helicopters like the AH-64 Apache and AH-1Z Viper to fixed-wing aircraft such as the F-16, F/A-18, and A-10 Thunderbolt II, the system is also deployed in counter-UAS ground vehicle configurations like VAMPIRE and EAGLS to cost-effectively destroy drones like the Shahed. Operational range spans from 1.1 to 5 km when launched from helicopters and extends from 2 to 14 km when fired from fixed-wing aircraft due to higher initial launch velocities.
