Wild Hornets update digital video transmission to support 25 simultaneous drone crews

Ukrainian defense technology company Wild Hornets has released an update for its Hornet Vision digital video transmission system. The manufacturer told Defender Media that the system now supports 25 independent communication channels instead of nine.

Wild Hornets explained that while widespread analog video transmission systems can ensure effective operation for up to 10 crews, the upgraded system allows up to 25 crews with Hornet Vision to operate simultaneously within a single standard radar field. This expanded channel capacity enables military units to scale the number of drones in a given sector without creating critical mutual radio interference.

All new batches of the company’s drones already support this technology, and existing Hornet Vision control stations can also be updated without additional costs. The manufacturer also noted that the Hornet Vision Ctrl remote drone control technology forms part of the Hornet Vision ecosystem, through which the military has intercepted over a thousand enemy drones.
