The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has opened access to its Avengers Labs platform, enabling domestic defense companies to train artificial intelligence models for uncrewed systems using real battlefield data. Developed by the Center for Innovation and Development of Defence Technologies—the team behind the DELTA situational awareness system—the platform aims to accelerate the integration of AI into military technology.
According to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the platform centers on an annotated dataset of five million frames gathered directly from real-world operations, including DELTA streams. The dataset encompasses various target types, such as armored vehicles, artillery, air defense systems, infantry, and aerial targets including Shahed and reconnaissance drones.
Models trained on Avengers Labs data already power automated detection tools within DELTA, processing over 100,000 uncrewed aerial vehicle video streams monthly. The system detects approximately 70 percent of enemy targets in real time across day and night conditions.
The technology supports operational scenarios including autonomous final-stage flight path adjustments after initial operator target acquisition, as well as autonomous target identification within designated operational zones. Initial licensing agreements have already been established with defense companies, with access open to vetted Ukrainian contractors and partner nations following compliance screening.
