Other features: The FT5 Tactical Aerial Platform, also known as the FT5-Łoś, is a twin-engine reconnaissance fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle featuring tractor propellers and a high-wing configuration. Its propulsion system consists of two independent internal combustion engines with electronic fuel injection (EFI), providing enhanced reliability with single-engine flight capability and ample power for onboard systems. The operational communication range reaches up to 150 km in line-of-sight mode from a fixed ground station or up to 300 km when using a mobile ground station or signal repeaters. Its modular payload bay accommodates up to 30 kg of equipment, with standard configurations including a gyrostabilized electro-optical station featuring high-resolution daylight and thermal imaging cameras along with a laser rangefinder, while offering integration options for advanced sensors such as synthetic aperture radars (SAR) for all-weather operations and electronic intelligence (ELINT) systems. Depending on the modification, it can be launched from a mobile catapult rail with belly-landing or parachute recovery, or utilize wheeled landing gear for autonomous takeoff and landing on short unpaved strips. Control and navigation are managed through fully autonomous flight path waypoint modes, camera-guided moving target tracking, encrypted digital data links, and automatic return-to-home capabilities upon signal loss. Finally, it is deeply integrated with the TOPAZ combat management system and other elements of the Gladius reconnaissance-strike complex.
