Ukrainian heavy strike uncrewed aerial vehicles destroyed several fortified Russian military shelters on the South Slobozhanskyi axis, including a field position equipped with an external air-conditioning unit indicating long-term operational preparation. According to released footage and official statements from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, drone operators from the Chernivtsi border unit executed the strikes using Vampire heavy uncrewed aerial vehicles while providing close air support to frontline defense operations.
The heavy strike platforms targeted multiple positions, including a fortified bunker concealed within a forest line. The Vampire platform is routinely deployed by Ukrainian forces to deliver heavy explosive payloads against fortified structures, field fortifications, and armored equipment. While the precise geographic coordinates and specific Russian military units were not disclosed, the strikes form part of ongoing counter-fortification operations in the sector.
The engagement follows recent precision strikes in the region, where the 15th Artillery Reconnaissance Brigade utilized a loitering munition guided by a reconnaissance drone to destroy a Russian command-and-control vehicle associated with an S-300P/PM air defense complex, disrupting coordinated surface-to-air missile guidance operations.
