Other features: The XENTA-M5 is a mobile 3D radar system designed for short-range air defense (SHORAD) and counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) operations. Utilizing Frequency-Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) technology with Range-Doppler processing and digital array synthetic beamforming, it operates in the X-band via solid-state GaN multiple feeding microstrip subarrays to deliver high-precision detection of even the smallest radar cross-section targets. The antenna features a rotation rate of 0 to 60 rpm with 10 sector blanking/inhibit zones and supports a 100% nominal duty cycle. The system provides 360-degree continuous azimuth coverage with 3D target tracking—measuring range, azimuth, and elevation—alongside an elevation field of view of up to 60 degrees. It simultaneously detects, tracks, and classifies a wide spectrum of threats, spanning low, slow, and small targets such as commercial quadcopters and small FPV drones to high-speed airborne threats including aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. Operational modes include 3D-Surveillance, Stop-Stare, and Search-On-The-Move (SOTM). An integrated Focus Mode allows the radar to temporarily suspend its standard surveillance scan upon threat detection to concentrate on a designated target for high-fidelity tracking. Engineered for deployment in mobile and containerized configurations, the XENTA-M5 integrates onto military vehicle chassis, including Rheinmetall platforms and air defense mounts, operating on a 28 VDC power input with robust environmental compliance under MIL-STD-810 (vehicle and army ground) and MIL-STD-461 (EMC/EMI). It supports digital data interfaces such as ASTERIX and Gigabit Ethernet for seamless interoperability within modern command-and-control (C2) networks.
