Ukraine’s SkyFall unveils Thor Hammer strike drone for attacks at ranges of up to 600 km

SkyFall unveils the new Thor Hammer strike drone.

Ukrainian defense technology company SkyFall has officially unveiled its new middle-strike strike drone, Thor Hammer. Depending on the variant, it can cover a distance of up to 350 or 600 km. The drone is already being used on the front line.

Thor Hammer can carry a 40–50 kg warhead, including fragmentation, high-explosive fragmentation, or other types. The drone has a maximum speed of 180 km/h and can fly at altitudes of up to 4,000 meters. Its wingspan is 3.5 meters and its length is 3 meters. It can be equipped with a daylight and/or thermal imaging camera, while the system can be deployed in 18 minutes.

The drone is launched using a catapult or rocket booster. The system can be operated from stationary platforms as well as mobile launchers mounted on trucks or other vehicles.

Depending on the mission requirements, Thor Hammer can be equipped with Starlink or other types of secure communications. Its multi-layer navigation system combines satellite, inertial and backup positioning.

Thor Hammer follows a predefined route while transmitting video in real time. As it approaches the target, the system alerts the operator to make the final decision. AI and computer vision technologies then come into operation. According to SkyFall, they allow the drone to automatically adjust its trajectory even in the event of a complete loss of radio or video communications.

The electronics that power Thor Hammer’s key systems are developed in-house by SkyFall. The company is also working on developing engines for middle-strike drones.

Depending on the configuration, the system costs $25,000–30,000. By the end of the year, SkyFall plans to scale production to 5,000 units per month. At the same time, the company is developing a variant with a range of more than 1,000 km.
