On September 30, Bayraktar Teknoloji unveiled the new KASIRGA unmanned aerial vehicle at ADEX 2026 in Baku. Developed in Azerbaijan, the platform is designed for both strike and reconnaissance missions.

KASIRGA features vertical takeoff and landing and does not require a runway. The drone is equipped with four electric motors and can autonomously perform takeoff, flight and landing, Bayraktar Teknoloji said on LinkedIn.

KASIRGA has a maximum takeoff weight of 33 kg and a payload capacity of up to 6 kg. The drone has a wingspan of 1.7 meters. Its equipment includes an AI-assisted electro-optical camera and a 4.5 kg warhead.

In the strike configuration, KASIRGA can conduct a one-way attack at a range of up to 60 km, with an endurance of up to 30 minutes. In the reconnaissance configuration, its range increases to 90 km, with an endurance of up to 50 minutes.

The drone features an anti-jamming system, visual localization, image stabilization and autonomous navigation functions. For terminal guidance, KASIRGA can use its electro-optical camera or GNSS, according to Army Recognition.

To extend its communications capabilities, the drone can receive signals through Bayraktar TB2, TB3 or AKINCI aircraft, which can serve as airborne relays.

KASIRGA can therefore be used in two configurations: as a one-way strike drone or as a reconnaissance platform that returns to its launch point.
