U.S. and Romanian forces hold joint anti-UAS exercise in Poland

Joint training in Poland

Soldiers from the U.S. Army’s 2nd Battalion, 37th Armored Regiment conducted a joint counter-unmanned aircraft system (anti-UAS) exercise alongside Romanian units at the Bemowo Piskie Training Area in Poland.

As reported by DVIDS, drone pilot Pfc. Keith Gregory operated unmanned aerial systems to serve as training targets during the exercise. A team from the Romanian Armed Forces’ 348th Air Defense Artillery Battalion, commanded by Capt. Alin Serban, tracked and detected the target platforms. The training was conducted under the NATO Forward Land Forces (FLF) Battle Group–Poland, an element assigned to the U.S. Army V Corps.

The exercise was designed to enhance operational interoperability, readiness, and tactical cohesion among NATO Allies along the eastern flank.
