Military Armored Company HUB and Ukrainian defense technology developer Sky Defenders have signed a memorandum of cooperation to supply unmanned aerial vehicles for integration onto Katran naval drones. The integration aims to extend the operational range of the uncrewed surface vessels.
This was reported on the page of MAC HUB, which noted that Sky Defenders manufactures combat-tested systems under NATO standards, including the Zigzag-S tactical strike drone. The catapult-launched, fixed-wing UAV reaches speeds up to 250 km/h with an operational range exceeding 150 km and carries a 3-5 kg warhead for single-use offensive missions.
MAC HUB leadership emphasized that external partnerships are critical for scaling technical capabilities across land, air, and maritime domains. The agreement follows the firm’s June 2026 expansion of ties with European defense manufacturer Paramount Greece as part of its strategy to field combat-proven technology developed alongside military personnel.
Military advisors to the project, including a special forces commander overseeing maritime operations, indicated the combined system will target coastal security infrastructure, radar units, air defense assets, and command elements up to two thousand kilometers away. Additional operational details regarding the joint integration are expected to be released at a later date.
