Other features: The hull of the Russian Katran uncrewed surface vehicle (USV) is made of a lightweight aluminum-magnesium alloy and is designed for patrol, reconnaissance, radar surveillance, logistics, and fire support, including via FPV drones. The USV can be operated at a range of up to 1,000 km and uses a Sea Pro outboard motor for propulsion.
For multi-role operations, outriggers can be attached to increase stability and support various weaponry. For one-way kamikaze missions targeting ships, coastal infrastructure, and bridges, the outriggers are removed.
Developers claim a carrier-drone variant will be capable of delivering dozens of FPV drones over 100–200 km, after which the vessel will act as a control signal relay.
