Game of Drones 26-3 brings together testers, military personnel and drone manufacturers

163d Volunteers Help Make Game of Drones 26-3 Possible

The latest stage of the Game of Drones 26-3 event was held at Edwards Air Force Base in California. The weeklong event, organized with the participation of the Defense Contract Management Agency, brought together representatives of industry, government testing organizations and the military to assess the capabilities of small unmanned aircraft systems and counter-unmanned aircraft systems.

During Game of Drones, participants conducted a series of tests and scenarios involving small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) and counter-small unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS). Manufacturers and other partners were provided with a platform to demonstrate and test their capabilities.

The event was conducted with the participation of the 412th Test Wing’s Experimental Test Force. Seven Airmen from the 163d Attack Wing were also involved, providing logistical support, establishing an entry control point, setting up equipment and handling other organizational tasks.

According to DVIDS, Game of Drones is intended to facilitate cooperation between industry representatives, government testers and warfighters working with small unmanned aircraft technologies. The event is also linked to the Drone Dominance initiative, which is aimed at accelerating work with unmanned systems for the military.

The previous Game of Drones event, 26-2, was held in July at Edwards Air Force Base. At that event, manufacturers demonstrated new sUAS technologies and capabilities, while participants conducted tests including in the areas of autonomous flight and countering small unmanned aircraft.
