Former Ukrainian defense minister Mykhailo Fedorov has partnered with Palantir CEO Alex Karp to launch a new defense company aimed at developing advanced military technologies.
Fedorov, who left office in July, announced that the venture will focus on strengthening capabilities for Ukraine and its allies. Karp’s backing is expected to bring substantial investment to the initiative, building on a half-decade of collaboration between Palantir and Ukrainian agencies, including the deployment of Palantir infrastructure for the Brave1 Dataroom and the integration of advanced battlefield software.
“During the full-scale war, our team gained unique experience working with defense technologies in Ukraine and seeing firsthand how technology is transforming modern warfare,” Fedorov stated, emphasizing that Ukraine remains his top priority despite international advisory roles, including consulting for the Italian Ministry of Defense. Karp, who reached out to Fedorov following his departure from government, noted his admiration for Ukraine’s technological achievements, which include the Delta battlefield management system. Palantir’s Maven Smart System serves as a technological counterpart, utilizing artificial intelligence to merge real-world intelligence for tactical planning.
