Insta secures multi-year contract to supply FPV drones to Finnish Defence Forces

Signing of the agreement.

Finnish technology company Insta has signed a multi-year agreement with the Finnish Defence Forces to deliver domestically produced FPV drones for conscript training, carrying a total value of 14 million euros including options, with initial systems already handed over.

As reported by Insta, the contract aims to expand large-scale flight training across all Finnish Army brigade-level units using micro unmanned aircraft systems equipped for mission-specific payloads.

The 7-inch and 10-inch platforms feature modular architectures designed to withstand Nordic conditions and integrate secure communications, control links, and situational awareness tools. Company representatives emphasize that the development incorporates lessons learned from modern battlefield operations, while military officials note that domestic production directly reinforces national security of supply and operational readiness.
