ARX Robotics UK has deployed eight Gereon unmanned ground vehicles during Project Convergence–Capstone 6, the U.S. Army’s largest technology evaluation experiment at Fort Irwin, California. The multipurpose tracked systems supported reconnaissance, counter-UAS, electronic warfare, logistics, and casualty evacuation missions across harsh desert terrain while maintaining connectivity with higher-echelon command-and-control networks.
The modular platform can carry payloads up to 500 kg over distances of up to 40 km, featuring integrations such as the L3Harris CORVUS-RAVEN electronic warfare system and the Ukrainian Buria remote weapon station equipped with an Mk 19 automatic grenade launcher. Data gathered by the UGVs successfully integrated into brigade, division, and corps networks alongside forces from the U.S., UK, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
According to official announcements, the trials validated the system’s operational capability at extended ranges while generating field data to further refine the Gereon platform and its Mithra operating system. The successful deployment builds on real-world operational use in Ukraine, where the platforms were first transferred in late 2024, with ARX Robotics planning a fivefold expansion of its UGV fleet in the region.
