L3Harris Technologies partnered with ARX Robotics UK during Project Convergence-Capstone 6, the U.S. Army’s experimentation campaign evaluating emerging technologies, to demonstrate mobile counter-drone capabilities. The collaboration featured the CORVUS-RAVEN system mounted on an ARX uncrewed ground vehicle, enabling operators to extend passive radio-frequency detection into forward or hazardous areas while maintaining a safe distance. Managing Director of Global Spectrum Superiority UK at L3Harris, Nicky Tabram, stated that the demonstration highlighted the value of combining proven mission systems with innovative robotic technologies to enhance situational awareness and reduce personnel exposure. The system utilizes an open architecture compatible with Team Awareness Kit messaging, allowing threat-bearing data to integrate directly into shared geospatial command-and-control networks.
ARX Robotics UK CEO David Roberts noted that integrating the sensor onto the GEREON robotic platform demonstrates how uncrewed ground systems can carry mission-critical payloads closer to threats without placing personnel at risk. Beyond passive detection, the CORVUS-RAVEN system features an integrated electronic defeat capability, providing tactical units with a flexible solution for countering low-altitude drone threats across dispersed operational environments.
