Dataminr is deploying its First Alert Advanced artificial intelligence platform across the entire NATO enterprise within the Palantir Maven Smart System.
This integration follows the company’s recent award of a five-year, $318 million Pentagon contract to provide situational awareness, force protection, and indications and warnings on global events to up to three million licensed Department of Defense users across all commands and field activities, as reported by Dataminr.
The platform utilizes multimodal fusion to analyze public internet data, transport transponders, imagery, video, audio, and multiple languages to deliver near-real-time operational views.
According to company CEO Ted Bailey, the system provides both open-source intelligence and predictive capabilities by pairing historical patterns with large language models, noting that the platform alerted users to initial strikes on Iran minutes before official military announcements.
As integration expands, the company plans to synchronize its architecture to fuse publicly available information with military sensor data across NATO and allied defense markets.
