Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems has publicly presented its new RAM-2X X-wing loitering munition. The official release of the system took place at the MSPO international exhibition in Poland.
The RAM-2X loitering munition operates at the operational-tactical level with a range of up to 180 km, designed to engage enemy targets and capable of airborne endurance exceeding two hours. The drone is equipped with a 2.7 or 3.5 kg warhead featuring an explosively formed penetrator and supports artificial intelligence integration, alongside high automation and flexible communication channels, as reported by the Militarnyi publication.
The unmanned aerial system operates via multiple frequency radio channels or a Starlink terminal, supporting relay functions to operate alongside reconnaissance drones such as the SHARK-M. In this configuration, the reconnaissance platform provides target designation and assists the strike drone in overcoming electronic warfare systems, while sharing unified components, ground control stations, and software with previous Ukrspecsystems developments.
Company representatives stated that every type of equipment performs a specific task, noting that unified nodes and software allow reconnaissance operators to integrate strike capabilities without replacing ground stations or antennas. The RAM-2X has been deployed by the Security Forces of Ukraine, recording over 450 targeted strikes across the RAM series, with Ukrspecsystems launching a public “X-Archive” featuring declassified combat footage.
