The Russian government has updated its regulations to include counter-drone systems in the official list of service and special equipment allocated to federal postal service personnel.

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the resolution, which modifies a prior 2005 government decree governing the provision of weapons, ammunition, and special equipment for postal workers, reports the Official Internet Portal of Legal Information

The revised framework introduces technical means designed to counter unmanned aerial, underwater, and surface vehicles and systems, as well as other automated unmanned complexes. The regulatory adjustment expands the authorized equipment baseline available to postal organizations within the country.
