Turkey has launched the national AI platform EVREN, which brings together computing resources, artificial intelligence models, and data-processing tools. The platform was developed under Turkey’s Presidency of Defense Industries.
EVREN already has 7,500 active users. The platform is aimed at defense and technology companies, researchers, entrepreneurs, and students.
Queries, responses, and platform usage data are processed on high-performance GPU infrastructure located in Turkey. EVREN also provides access to 11 open-weight large language models.
The platform supports computer vision tasks, including object detection, segmentation, and classification. Users can label data, as well as develop and train models.
EVREN also supports connecting AI applications through APIs, real-time query processing, and automatic routing of queries to models.
The platform operates on a contribution-based credit system. Users can earn credits by uploading datasets, labeling data, or sharing trained models. The credits can then be used for model training and inference.
EVREN is planned to expand with language, vision, and audio models developed in Turkey, as well as strengthened computing infrastructure through distributed GPU management.
