Zelensky reports nearly 1,500 Russian drones launched at Ukraine in four days

Over a four-day period, Russian forces launched approximately 1,500 drones of various types against Ukraine, including roughly 800 jet-powered platforms.

As reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Facebook, the current Russian tactic focuses on wearing down the Ukrainian population through constant aerial assaults. While military units successfully intercept a significant portion of the incoming munitions, countering jet-powered variants remains the most complex operational challenge, primarily managed by combat aircraft.

To counter this threat, development efforts are scaling up, with four companies having designed interceptor drones and one firm yielding the most successful configuration. The Ministry of Defense and military authorities are working to maximize interceptor capabilities with a target shoot-down rate exceeding 90% for the upcoming fall period.
