Ukrainian and Finnish defense companies signed multiple agreements to initiate joint military technology projects during a defense industry round table held by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of Finland Alexander Stubb. The bilateral initiatives focus on developing and manufacturing unmanned aerial vehicles in Finland for Ukrainian and European defense requirements, expanding capabilities in maritime uncrewed systems, and establishing an enterprise to produce unmanned ground vehicles.
The joint endeavors aim to combine Ukrainian operational experience with Finnish technological capabilities. The agreements were announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on his official Facebook page.
During the event, President Zelenskyy stated that the collaboration merges combat-tested field experience with advanced manufacturing standards. He also acknowledged the support of President Stubb, the Finnish government, local industry leaders, and the Finnish public, noting the strategic relevance of finalizing the agreements during national observances.
