Ukrainian defence tech company Vluchnyk is expanding production of its Zorelit interceptor drone series and negotiating joint ventures with foreign partners, including a planned production line in Sweden.
Originally starting with volunteering efforts and terminal guidance systems, the team transitioned to drone manufacturing and launched the Zorelit v4 interceptor, designed to intercept unmanned aerial vehicles. The platform features six modifications differing in cameras, communications, and AI integration, with standard ranges of 46 km or extended ranges of 65–70 km. Pricing ranges from UAH 35,100 (approximately $850) to UAH 95,900 (approximately $2,300), reaching maximum speeds of 348 km/h and a cruising speed of 135 km/h with a 300–600 g warhead.
The company’s engineering approach and focus on cost-efficient, scalable design drew investments from Swedish firm Hede Capital and Danish platform Skylen in 2025, alongside prior grants from Brave1 and the Lviv City Council amounting to UAH 2.5m (approximately $60,000). Danish investors are additionally providing support via ComplyTrain to help the startup secure ISO and AQAP certifications required for Western procurement agencies, according to Defender Media.
To address evolving threats from jet-powered drones, Vluchnyk is developing the Zorelit v6, engineered to reach speeds exceeding 400 km/h and operate at altitudes up to 5 km at an estimated price of UAH 85,000 (approximately $2,050). The team is also testing autonomous control and target-area approach systems integrated with the SkyMap data network. Meanwhile, joint venture plans involving Scandinavian X remain dependent on pending export permits.
