Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is the largest military shipbuilding corporation in the United States, as well as a supplier of advanced defense technologies and systems for the U.S. Navy and government agencies. The company was formed in March 2011 as a result of the spin-off of shipbuilding assets from Northrop Grumman Corporation, although its shipbuilding facilities have been operating for over a century. Headquartered in Newport News, Virginia.
