China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) is a state-owned enterprise in China’s defense-industrial and aerospace sectors, founded in 1999 with its headquarters in Beijing. CASC serves as the primary developer and manufacturer of Chinese launch vehicles – including the Long March family – alongside Earth-observation satellites, Shenzhou crewed spacecraft, Tiangong space stations, and interplanetary probes. In addition to its space programs, the corporation designs and produces strategic and tactical missile systems, such as ballistic missiles, as well as various military uncrewed platforms. Notably, CASC subsidiaries developed the well-known Caihong (CH) series of strike-reconnaissance drones, which includes models like the CH-4 and CH-5.
