Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) is Poland’s state-owned defense holding company established in 2013 on the initiative of the State Treasury to consolidate the enterprises of the national defense-industrial complex. Headquartered in Radom, the group unites several dozen companies, including manufacturing plants, service centers, and research institutes that cover key sectors of the country’s military industry, such as prominent enterprises like PIT-RADWAR and Mesko, alongside armored vehicle, artillery, and naval equipment manufacturers.
Its core activities encompass: the development and manufacturing of air-defense systems, ranging from man-portable air-defense systems (MANPADS) to short- and medium-range missile complexes; the production of armored vehicles, alongside the modernization and maintenance of infantry fighting vehicles, main battle tanks, and self-propelled artillery systems; the output of a wide spectrum of NATO-standard ammunition, missile weaponry, and explosives; the design of naval weapon systems and participation in military shipbuilding programs, including mine countermeasures vessels and frigates.
