Ukraine held a defense technology demonstration in Kyiv on Independence Day, showcasing an array of ground, maritime, and aerial platforms. The display featured ground-based robotic systems operating along Khreshchatyk, naval surface drones on the Dnipro River, and airborne formations over the capital.
The ground procession included the Rys Pro and TerMIT unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), equipped with machine guns and multiple rocket launch systems, as reported by the news agency UNN. On the water, Magura maritime drones fitted with missile payloads were demonstrated along the riverfront, while the aerial segment featured unmanned aerial vehicles alongside French Mirage 2000 and F-16 fighter aircraft.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the event highlighted Ukraine’s defense capabilities and technological developments, stating that these systems serve to protect civilian lives while establishing Ukraine as a potential security contributor to European partners following the war.
