Aselsan (Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.) is a Turkish defense company and the country’s largest defense electronics manufacturer. Established in 1975, the majority of its shares are controlled by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (Türk Silahlı Kuvvetlerini Güçlendirme Vakfı), while the remainder are traded on the Borsa Istanbul, making Aselsan one of the most valuable publicly traded companies. The company specializes in developing radar systems for air defense, electronic warfare, and surveillance, alongside the integration and manufacturing of components for air defense missile systems. Its portfolio also includes secure military radio communication systems, tactical data networks, and command and control (C4ISR) centers. Additionally, Aselsan produces thermal sights, night vision devices, onboard systems for drones, helicopters, and aircraft, as well as electro-optical surveillance and targeting pods for unmanned platforms.
