Polish company introduces lightweight net screen for vehicle protection against FPV drones

Lightweight “Lekka osłona siatkowa” net screen on a Bobr 3 armored reconnaissance vehicle

Polish company Lubawa S.A. has developed the lightweight “Lekka osłona siatkowa” net screen designed to protect military vehicles from shaped-charge munitions and FPV drone strikes.

The system provides defense against shaped-charge anti-tank munitions, including the PG-7V and PG-7VM. Featuring a modular architecture, the screen dimensions can be adapted to specific vehicle types. The structural frame is manufactured from composite materials or an aluminum alloy and incorporates tear-resistant cables protected by a specialized weather-resistant coating, Militarnyi reports.

Cable tension is maintained using fabric straps secured along the frame edges with Velcro fasteners, supplemented by metal components at intersection points to prevent shifting. Individual sections connect via rigid ball joints or Velcro, while adjustable brackets mount the assembly to the vehicle hull to regulate standoff distance.

The protection system was demonstrated on a Bobr 3 armored reconnaissance vehicle during the MSPO 2026 international defense exhibition in Poland.
